Four Mile volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and help to fulfill our mission in a variety of ways. From education and events, to grounds maintenance, volunteers are an integral part in preserving Four Mile’s unique story, and sharing it with visitors of all ages!
Assist with field trips, birthday parties, and other outreach programs for students!
Lend your skills to our sewing, quilting, blacksmithing, or summer kitchen groups! Demonstrators provide a glimpse into 19th-century rural life as well as hands-on experiences for visitors during special events and educational programs.
Help maintain the grounds of our 12-acre site by lending a hand with weeding, gardening, mowing, clean-up, paddock maintenance, and other outdoor tasks.
Student volunteers are active in a variety of areas throughout the Park, including grounds maintenance, special events, visitor services, and educational programming.
We provide training for volunteers in a variety of interest areas. You will need to submit an application and attend an orientation in order to volunteer at the Park. Those who are 18 and older must pass a background screening.
Our volunteers engage visitors, are flexible in accepting assignments, and enjoy working with others. We hope to see you soon!
Donate a total of over 200 hours a month on average.
Work in a variety of areas from the blacksmith forge, giving tours in the Four Mile House, gardening, education programs, animal care, and so much more!
